2025 Design Career Fair

The 2025 Design Career Fair returns to the Gatton Student Center on Friday, February 28 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The annual event, to be held in the student center's Grand Ballroom and Social Staircase area, marks the seventh career fair for the College of Design, and the third in partnership with the Department of Landscape Architecture.

Free Weekly Yoga Classes for Students, Faculty and Staff

Beginning September 3rd, UK's Integrative Medicine and Health program will offer free weekly 45-minute yoga classes in the Gray Design Building. 

The Drawing Society | Distillery District

A gathering of students, faculty, professionals and friends, exploring the city and drawing together. Join the Drawing Society for a Sketchcrawl with techniques offered by Doreen Maloney from the School of Art and Visual Studies. Participants will meet at Goodfellas in the Distillery District at 5:30pm.

The Drawing Society | KY Native Cafe

A gathering of students, faculty, professionals and friends, exploring the city and drawing together. Join the Drawing Society for a Sketchcrawl with techniques offered by Rae Goodwin from the School of Art and Visual Studies. Participants will meet at Kentucky Native Cafe in the Winter Solarium at 5:30pm.

2024 Design Career Fair

The 2024 Design Career Fair returns to the Gatton Student Center on Friday, February 23 from 9am-3pm. The annual event, to be held in the student center's Grand Ballroom and Social Staircase area, marks the sixth career fair for the College of Design, and the second in partnership with the Department of Landscape Architecture.

CoD and LA Faculty selected for first TEK Faculty Fellow Cohort

Lindsey Fay and Patrick Lee Lucas (Interiors), Liz Swanson and Jordan Hines (Architecture), and Ryan Hargrove(Landscape Architecture) were selected as part of the first cohort of TEK Faculty Fellows for the 2023-24 academic year. Short for  "Transdisciplinary Educational Approaches to Advance Kentucky," TEK challenges faculty and students to engage with complex, multidimensional and context-specific issues. Congrats to our faculty, and thank you for your dedication!

Ned Crankshaw awarded CELA Outstanding Administrator Award

Ned Crankshaw, acting dean of the University of Kentucky College of Design, recently received the 2023 Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) Outstanding Administrator Award.
