Employers: Register for the 2025 Design Career Fair
Employer registration is open for the University of Kentucky's 2025 Design Career Fair. The fair is set to take place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the Gatton Student Center on UK’s campus.
The annual event, to be held in the student center’s Grand Ballroom and Social Staircase area, marks the seventh career fair for the College of Design, and the third in partnership with the Department of Landscape Architecture. The Design Career Fair provides job and internship information to students in the following programs:
Employers can register on Handshake here. If your company does not have a Handshake profile, accounts are free and quick to create. You can find instructions on how to create a company Handshake profile here. Registration includes the following:
- Lunch from Champions Kitchen for two representatives. If your firm would like to bring more than two representatives, you can add them in the registration form (a total of six reps are allowed); additional Champions Kitchen meal tickets will then be provided.
- One parking spot per firm. Attending companies will have one parking space in the Gatton Student Center lot. Additional parking is available nearby.
- A six-foot banquet table and two chairs. We will also provide black table covers. Additional chairs are available by request.
- Access to an on-the-spot interview room. This room operates on a first come, first serve basis. There are many additional breakout areas throughout the Student Center.
- Access to a shared Google folder with student portfolios. This will be published a week before the fair.
Registration pricing is based on firm size.
- Firms with 50+ employees: $750.00 (includes KY 6% tax)
- Firms with 21–50 employees: $600.00 (includes KY 6% tax)
- Firms with 11–20 employees: $400.00 (includes KY 6% tax)
- Firms with 1–10 employees: $200.00 (includes KY 6% tax)
For employers looking to recruit interns or employees, you can expect to interact with more than 300 interested students and upcoming graduates. With an average of 50 firms from 12 states represented at former Design Career Fairs, this event also provides employers with a valuable networking opportunity. In the event of cancellation due to weather, the event will be rescheduled for date March 28.
