Undergraduate Work-Study Research Assistantships

In Fall 2023, the College of Design will be offering a number of faculty-directed undergraduate student research assistantships as part of UK’s work-study research assistant program (WRAP). The deadline to apply is October 20.

Rebekah Radtke (School of Interiors) and Jeff Fugate (School of Architecture) will  attend the Post Mining Acclimatization Symposium in early September 2023 in Harnes, France. 

Kristi Bartlett featured on industrial design podcast

Kristi Bartlett, PhD, a new faculty member in the Product Design program, was recently interviewed on "Beyond Ray," a podcast about women in industrial design created by Women in Design Seattle. 

Galo Canizares contributor to new book about color in architecture

Galo Canizares, assistant professor in the School of Architecture, is a contributor to the recently published book "Full Spectrum: Color in Contemporary Architecture," edited by Elena Manferdini and Jasmine Benyamin. According to the synopsis: "Colour is architecture’s sharpest tool in the box. It has indexed everything from the feminine, cosmetic and vulgar to the pure, intrinsic and embodied.

Michael McKay honored as a 2023-24 University Research Professor

Michael McKay, an associate professor in the University of Kentucky College of Design, is one of 16 University Research Professors for 2023-24.
