SoA, SoI Faculty to Present at 2025 ACSA Conference
Several University of Kentucky College of Design faculty members were selected to present their research at the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Annual Conference in New Orleans March 20-22. The ACSA Annual Conference serves as the premier gathering of architectural faculty and researchers from across the country.
UK CoD faculty presentations and panels include:
- School of Architecture Assistant Professor Galo Canizares, along with Stephanie Sang Delgado of Kean University, discussing “Lightweight Construction/Reconstruction/Deconstruction”
- School of Architecture Assistant Professor Galo Canizares serving as an invited panelist on digital fabrication
- School of Architecture Associate Professor of Extension Jeff Fugate, along with Brent Sturlaugson of Morgan State University, will be discussing their research titled “Appalachian Climate Futures: Understanding the Contemporary Mountain Vernacular”
- School of Architecture Assistant Professor Leen Katrib serving as an invited panelist on the “Tradition and Transformation: Reflecting on 40 Years of Research on Beginning Design Education” panel
- School of Architecture Assistant Professor Leen Katrib serving as session organizer and moderator for the “Campus, Race, and Architectural Legacies” session
- School of Architecture Assistant Professor Leen Katrib presenting her research “The Other Mies Archive: A Framework for Subversive Historiography”
- School of Interiors Assistant Professor Jennifer Meakins, speaking on “This is] a Site: A Critical Pedagogy of Land and Repair”
