Step inside the creative research process with ‘Inside the Lab’ event series

The University of Kentucky community experienced research and creative scholarship in a new and interactive way through a recent installment of the “Inside the Lab: Works in Progress” event series. Hosted by the Sustainable Futures Design Lab and supported by the Research Leadership Academy and the Office of the Vice President for Research, this series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the workspaces of researchers, designers, artists and scholars engaged in groundbreaking projects.

Daniel Vivian named 2025-26 University Research Professor

Today, the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees approved Associate Professor Daniel Vivian as the College of Design’s University Research Professor for the 2025-26 academic year. Established by the Board of Trustees in 1976, the professorships program recognizes research excellence across all UK colleges. 

Two CoD students named to 2025 Class of Chellgren Student Fellows

The Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence at the University of Kentucky has selected the 2025 Class of Chellgren Student Fellows (Chellows) and the 2025-26 Chellgren Faculty Fellows. Dedicated to advancing the University of Kentucky’s commitment to student, teaching and program excellence, the center works toward that mission through several programs.
