Interiors students lead donation drive for hurricane-impacted NC communities

On October 19, 2024, second-year Interiors students Kat Pence and Noah Nolan headed to Swannanoa, North Carolina in a vehicle loaded to the brim with relief supplies for communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.

SubStudio Lecture at 21c Lexington

On Sunday, October 13, School of Interiors faculty members Hannah Dewhirst and Ingrid Schmidt will give a talk at 21c Museum Hotel in Lexington about the immersive installations they create as part of their collaborative SUBSTUDIO. 

Chair Day: Pop-Up Exhibit

Join us for a pop-up exhibit all about chair design. The event will take place in the Clearing of the Gray Design Building and will feature chairs from the College of Design collection and from college faculty, as well as chairs from Gonzo Vintage and the collection of Matt Smith.

Meakins and Chugh to present at Interior Design Educators Council Regional Symposium

School of Interiors faculty members Jennifer Meakins and Aanya Chugh will be part of a peer reviewed panel discussion at the Interior Design Educators Council Regional Symposium, scheduled for Oct. 31- Nov. 1, 2024. 

Hosted by the School of Interiors Work It Out A day of talks and hands-on workshops

Work It Out, hosted by the School of Interiors, will include a variety of workshops and presentations on process as storytelling from College of Design, Landscape Architecture, and SA/VS faculty, plus special guest artist Bryce Oquaye. 

Rebekah Radtke Honored as University Research Professor

Rebekah Radtke, a Chellgren Endowed Professor and associate professor in the School of Interiors, has been honored as a 2024-25 University Research Professor.
