Interiors faculty, grad student selected for IDEC Virtual Symposium
University of Kentucky School of Interiors faculty members, as well as an interiors graduate student, were selected to present their research at the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) Virtual Symposium on Oct. 30-31.
The IDEC Virtual Symposium is a two-day, national conference with this year’s theme, “Igniting Passion Through Teaching & Learning,” focused on the role of passion in interior design education. It highlights how curiosity and creativity drive learning, teaching, and the development of innovative, resilient learning environments. The event offers opportunities for educators, students and design professionals to connect, reflect and explore how passion fuels progress in the field.
Assistant Professor Aanya Chugh will be speaking during the Oct. 30 abstract sessions on Rethinking the Studio & Pedagogical Practices. Interiors graduate student Faezeh Panahandeh, along with her faculty mentor Assistant Professor Jennifer Meakins, will be speaking during the Oct. 31 abstract sessions on History, Culture & Creative Scholarship in Design.
