UK to induct design alum into 2025 Hall of Distinguished Alumni

On Sept. 12, the University of Kentucky will induct 20 alumni into the 2025 Hall of Distinguished Alumni, including one College of Design alum. The alumni will be honored for their meaningful contributions to the Commonwealth, nation and the world.  The prestigious event, held every five years, is the highest recognition bestowed by the UK Alumni Association. Since its establishment in 1965, the Hall of Distinguished Alumni has celebrated graduates whose professional achievements and community service exemplify the impact of a UK education. 

Gray Design Building to house Lexington Camera Club’s biennial exhibition

The University of Kentucky College of Design and the Department of Landscape Architecture will host the Lexington Camera Club’s Conjure 2025 biennial exhibition, Sept. 8-Oct. 17 in the Gray Design Building’s gallery.

Department of Product Design launches new curriculum and minor

As of the Fall 2025 semester, the University of Kentucky’s Department of Product Design (PRD) will utilize a new curriculum for its Bachelor of Science program. After an extensive review of curriculum delivery in the opening years of the program, PRD faculty leveraged the strengths of the original curriculum while ensuring a more efficient, engaging and effective educational experience for its students.
