The Excellent Undergraduate Research Mentor Award recognizes UK faculty members who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to mentoring undergraduate researchers, provided exceptional undergraduate research experiences, as well as supporting and promoting the undergraduate research initiatives on campus. All nominees were nominated by one or more of their undergraduate research students.

College of Design faculty members account for more than 7% of the award’s 67-person nominee pool, a testament to the impressive impact they have on their research mentees.

For their outstanding leadership and support of students, all faculty mentor nominees from across the university will be recognized at the Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars on Wednesday, April 30 in the Gatton Student Center with the winner being announced during the Showcase’s Award Ceremony at 3 p.m. that day.
