Critical Software Lab Lecture Series girlcomputer

The College of Design invites you to the first Critical Software Lab lecture of the semester on Friday, October 4 at 4pm in GDB 209. Samiha Meem will be giving a presentation called "girlcomputer" on her work. Meem's research explores how image, media infrastructures, and popular culture interfere with the representation, consumption, and production of architecture. She is currently the 2023-25 LeFevre Fellow at The Ohio State University.

Meakins and Chugh to present at Interior Design Educators Council Regional Symposium

School of Interiors faculty members Jennifer Meakins and Aanya Chugh will be part of a peer reviewed panel discussion at the Interior Design Educators Council Regional Symposium, scheduled for Oct. 31- Nov. 1, 2024. 

Hagins wins award for Best Visual Paper at Design Society conference

Carly Hagins, assistant professor in the Product Design program, recently attended the Design Society's Engineering and Product Design in Education (E&PDE) in Birmingham, United Kingdom, where she was awarded "Best Visual Paper" for her research paper Reading Visuals: Exploring the Use of AI in Qualitative Research Analysis.

Product Design senior utilizes research fellowship to explore shoe design in virtual reality

Summer is an ideal time for students to take a leap into an experience within their college careers that will propel them into their chosen career field. KayDee Pratt, a senior majoring in product design in the College of Design, is one of these students.

2024 Undergraduate Research Summer Fellowship Opportunities

The College of Design is offering undergraduate students summer fellowship opportunities funded through the UK Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR).  Working with faculty mentors, undergraduate students may apply for stipends of up to $2,000 to fund their independent summer research proposal.

Undergraduate Work-Study Research Assistantships

In Fall 2023, the College of Design will be offering a number of faculty-directed undergraduate student research assistantships as part of UK’s work-study research assistant program (WRAP). The deadline to apply is October 20.
