The University of Kentucky College of Design invites the community to visit the Stratasys 3D Printing Truck 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the Gray Design Building. This mobile showroom will provide a hands-on opportunity to explore how 3D printing is shaping the future of design, manufacturing and problem-solving across a variety of fields.

The mobile showroom, operated by Stratasys will feature demonstrations and displays highlighting how 3D printing is shaping industries such as health care, aerospace, automotive and product design. During the event, attendees will be able to see examples of 3D-printed projects, learn about the range of available materials and talk with experts about how this technology is being used today.

In addition, Jesse Roitenberg, Stratasys’s director of education, will be on campus Thursday afternoon and Friday. He will be available for smaller group conversations with faculty and staff who wish to explore how 3D printing could support teaching, research or future collaborations. Anyone interested in scheduling a meeting with Roitenberg can email joe.brewer@uky.edu.

Complet3D, a local company based at The Cornerstone on UK’s campus, is collaborating with Stratasys to bring this event to campus. Complet3D partners with regional manufacturers, designers and researchers to expand access to 3D printing technology and expertise, helping to foster innovation throughout the Commonwealth. The event is part of the 2025 Experience Stratasys Tour, which has traveled throughout the United States since March and will end in November. Learn more here.

Faculty, students and campus partners are encouraged to attend and discover new possibilities for using this technology in their own disciplines. The event is free and open to the public. Those interested in attending are asked to register in advance at https://events.stratasys.com/UKDesign3D.

For UK parking permit holders, several E/C9 lots are located directly adjacent to the Gray Design Building.  For visitors from outside the University of Kentucky, self-paid parking is available via LexPark along both sides of Scott Street.
