Aanya Chugh
Assistant Professor | Director of Community Belonging
Aanya Chugh is an Assistant Professor at the School of Interiors and Principal of the architecture and interiors practice AÄ MÄ Studio. She also holds the position of Director of Inclusion for the college and is a DEI officer for the university.
She has worked across a wide range of design practices including the industry-defining Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, the experience design firm Parc Office and at the coworking provider Industrious. She received her Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and has served as a guest critic at institutions including RISD, Columbia GSAPP and Harvard GSD. Aanya previously taught in the B.Arch program at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Issues of belonging and identity are a common thread throughout Aanya’s teaching and research. Having lived across various cities in the United States and India, she enjoys sharing her rich multi-cultural perspective with the College of Design community and beyond.
