Regina Summers is a Lecturer of Architecture at the University of Kentucky College of Design and Director of the Design Discovery Program. She received her Masters of Architecture from UCLA and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky College of Architecture. From 2013-2016, she was Director of Recruitment for the entire college, with her role expanding in July 2015 to include Social Media Curation and Identity. Her tireless commitment on all fronts was acknowledged with a 2016 Staff Service Award.

In her personal work, Mrs. Summers explores patterns in nature through techniques of drawing, simple scripting and image manipulation; combining contemporary design and fabrication processes with traditional craft. This focus reflects her architectural education and Appalachian heritage where she fuses these techniques with sustainably based materials, producing household products with infinite variation and minimal environmental impact. Regina received the 2013 Kentucky Arts Council Emerging Artist Award for her research.
