Kristi Bartlett, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Kristi Bartlett, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Product Design. Her research focuses on the dynamics in design education and industry that contribute to the lack of diversity. Her research is interdisciplinary in nature and incorporates topics including industrial design, engineering and STEM education, visual perception, STS, and gender studies.
Kristi has an interest in medical technology and has experience working on product design and development for startup companies in the healthcare industry. Her healthcare design work has won a CES Innovation Award and a Medical Design Excellence Gold Award. Kristi holds a PhD in Technology from Purdue University, an MS in Industrial Design from the University of Houston, and a BA in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rice University.
