Daniel Livingston

Principal Graphic Designer

Daniel Livingston is the Principal Graphic Designer for the College, as well as adjunct faculty in the Department of Product Design. He earned his MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where his thesis research focused on the inclusion of design education as part of a modern liberal arts curriculum. Before coming to the University of Kentucky, Daniel was an assistant professor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, where he taught a range of graphic design and visual communication-related courses, including two new courses he developed for the program focused on typography and advanced digital image editing.

With an extensive background in branding and creative problem-solving methodologies, Daniel recognizes graphic design as a powerful catalyst for social change. In 2020, he was elected President of the Ad Club Lexington Board of Directors. Previously, he served as Director of Public Service, where he had the opportunity to lead several community-based philanthropic campaigns for Ad Club, benefitting local nonprofits including Voices of Hope, LexGiveBack and the Plantory.
