Daniel Livingston is the Communications Director for the College of Design. He holds an MFA in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where his thesis research focused on the inclusion of design education as part of a modern liberal arts curriculum. Before coming to the University of Kentucky, Daniel was an assistant professor at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, where he taught a range of graphic design and visual communication-related courses, including two new courses he developed for the program focused on typography and advanced digital image editing.

With an extensive background in branding and creative problem-solving methodologies, Daniel recognizes design as a powerful catalyst for social change. He has served in several capacities on the Board of Directors for the American Advertising Federation's Lexington chapter, including education chair, director of public service, president, and chairman. Through these positions, he has had the opportunity to lead several community service-focused campaigns for local schools, nonprofits and community organizations.
