MuFu: Museum of the Future

Join us for the Museum of the Future exhibition opening at 21c Museum Hotel Louisville, with a panel discussion featuring Jeffrey Johnson (UK SoA), Darin Johnstone (Sci_Arc), SO-IL, Alice Stites (21c), Christopher Reitz (UofL), Stephen Reily (Crystal Bridges Museum & Re-Museum), and Julien Robson (Great Meadows Foundation).

21c Louisville is excited to exhibit “Museum of the Future” in partnership with the University of Kentucky School of Architecture and the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI_Arc). Stemming from questions on how we conceive a ‘museum of the future’ and what future roles the museum will have in society, this exhibition explores potential solutions for museums with growing collections that are too large to share with the public, prompting the creation of innovative and even radical new forms of architecture that could be part museum, part storage facility, part event space, and part community social space.
