Project Manager

Project Manager

PorterFanna Architecture was established in 2007 with the goal of promoting excellence in design and responsibility in execution, specializing in contemporary residential design and project management. The partners of PFA were trained as Architects but moreover, as meticulous project managers and stewards of the design as it is executed in the field and carried through to the final building. This experience was brought to PFA and is the critical skill that makes us who we are.

We operate as Architects and Designers and are as facile producing high level presentations as we are in drafting drawings, filing with local building departments, negotiating with contractors, budgeting and construction administration. We have a staff of experienced, thoughtful and dedicated designers and draftsman and are licensed and insured professionals.

Currently, we are in need of a project manager who has at least 2 years of experience in construction drawings and project management and an intern level  position for design, graphics, drafting and model making. That said, we are always looking for inspired and driven architects, project managers and designers to formulate and execute the great work that we have in the office. This includes design, drawing, rendering, model making, 3D printing, prototype construction, analysis, drafting, client relations, material and construction research and application, code and building department applications, contractor negotiations, and construction administration. We provide mentorship and a new employee is involved in as much of the process as they can handle. You get your hands dirty here at PFA and learn a great deal in a short amount of time.

We have a burgeoning studio and have just moved into a larger space in DUMBO, Brooklyn and although we are a relatively small studio, we have big ambitions and are reaching out in all directions for opportunities to peddle our craft and create amazing things. From single family houses to commercial and retail projects, speculative designs, competitions and exhibitions. It is a balancing act and one thing inspires the other.
