NKD LDY Digital Marketing Intern

The Digital Marketing Intern will gain valuable exposure and experience across almost all elements of the marketing function and marketing communications for our products and services. This role will be involved in assistance and maintenance of marketing programs for mobile and web applications; including the tactical execution of social media campaigns, brand collaboration communication, sales and marketing analytics, assistance with ongoing marketing program maintenance, and project status updates. The involvement in these programs will enable the intern to launch marketing programs that build brand awareness, drive demand and ultimately grow sales. Interns will gain valuable experience in project management, messaging, program management and marketing communications tactical development with visibility across the broader organization. In short, the intern will not only have specific projects that can be highlighted, but will also gain broader experience upon which to build.

Essential duties

  • Work closely with management team to provide timely reports and analysis on marketing campaigns;
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to launch & maintain campaigns;
  • Assist with creation of content (written, graphic, video) for digital promotional campaigns;
  • Copy edit and proofread marketing and advertising materials;
  • Manage ongoing communications with customers and partners; and
  • Monitor and interpret marketing analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales,
  • Communication or similar field;
  • High level understanding of social media app branding and analytics; and
  • At least 21 years of age in order to spend time at on-premise accounts to get social media and branding content.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sophomore status or above in the degree-seeking program;
  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and Sheets, Canva (Graphic Design), Dropbox;
  • Working knowledge of basic writing and copy-editing skills; and
  • Working knowledge of basic graphic design skills;
  • Working knowledge of basic video editing skills; and
  • Previous working or volunteer experience.

  • Must be detail oriented;
  • Professional manner and personal maturity;
  • Strong organization and time management skills;
  • Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data;
  • Strong problem solving skills; and
  • Strong verbal and written communication competencies.

Job Details

  • 10-15 hours per week to start
  • $15 per hour

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the employee may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
