Design Poole Inc. is based in Winter Park, Florida, and has produced exceptional design for the hospitality industry since 2000. Intern will assist in maintaining the design library and support Resource Manager. Daily duties will include filing, organizing and managing vendor product. Intern will also have the opportunity to work closely with Design team members on miscellaneous projects. The intern will assist and support the Design team in all facets to include, but not limited to design research, conceptual design development, product research, rendering through multiple methods, interior design development, construction documentation, vendor communication, presentation preparation and sample procurement.

The design team offers a vast background of experience and talent to the international hospitality industry. We maintain a dynamic work environment to inspire great work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Resource Manager with maintenance of the Design Library by filing material daily and managing the vendors as they add new material.
  • Circulate any new material to the Designers for review before filing away.
  • Make design selections for projects as directed by Designers.
  • Revit, AutoCAD and manual drafting efforts.
  • Development of electronic presentations and project material boards. • Maintain accurate time records of all project related assignments.
  • Participate in Company and project team meetings as required. • Perform indirect tasks as directed.
  • Ask questions.
  • Take notes when receiving assignments.
  • Limited communication with vendors and no communication with outside professionals without supervisor approvals.

 

Qualifications

  • Collaborative with positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities and organization.
  • Flexible related to schedule.
  • Must have working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop & Creative Suite, MS Office, Excel and Gmail.
  • Preferred Experience in In Design and Sketch-Up.
