UK Board Approves Reynolds Building for College of Design

In February 2019, the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees approved the design phase for the rehabilitation of the Reynolds Building as the future home for the College of Design. With 140,000 square feet, Reynolds will allow for the implementation of the college’s ambitious plan to launch new initiatives, expand existing programs, establish new lines of design research and foster creative scholarship.

Studio Gang has been selected as the National Architect for this project, working alongside K. Norman Berry Associates (KNBA), who was selected as the architect of record. Jeanne Gang, founding principal of Studio Gang, was the only architect named as one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2019 and was the inaugural Brown-Forman Visiting Chair for Studio Louisville, the College of Design’s satellite studio.
