SoA student Sean Campbell has been awarded a $3,000 Undergraduate Sustainability Summer Research Fellowship for his project, “Food Justice Design Systems.” For this project, Campbell will continue his work with Black Soil to create a design manual for the construction of urban greenhouses in Lexington, and build a demonstration greenhouse over the summer at a predetermined site. The research is advised by SoA professor Brent Sturlaugson, and the fellowship is sponsored by The Food Connection, the UK Student Sustainability Council, and the Office of Undergraduate Research.
