Congratulations to School of Architecture Director Jeffrey Johnson (right) for receiving the Distinguished Service Award from The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Kentucky chapter. This honor goes to an individual member for a specific contribution or for their dedication and service that has significantly furthered the purposes of AIA Kentucky. Johnson joined the College of Design in 2016 and has since taken an active role in the Kentucky chapter of AIA, serving as the Design Awards Chair and partnering with the organization to encourage participation in the School’s Lecture Series.
Congratulations also go out to Randall Vaughn (lower right), Vice President A/E Professional Services for Gray, for being awarded the C. Julian Oberwarth Gold Medal for service by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Kentucky. Vaughn is an alum of the College of Design. The award is given to recognize and honor an individual member who has displayed a long-standing commitment to the betterment of the profession and well-being of architects in Kentucky.
