The Pocket Park, a collaborative project led by UK School of Interiors Interim Director Rebekah Radtke, officially opened. The former vacant lot on the corner of Maxwell and Limestone streets, was made possible by collective funding of $10,000 from the Downtown Lexington Partnership, Lexington Parks & Recreation, the Blue Grass Community Foundation and the University of Kentucky. Students from the College’s architecture and interiors programs supported this living laboratory by engaging the community and collaborating with such experts as city officials, sustainability consultants, landscape architects and more.
