The UK College of Design is pleased to announce that Rebekah Radtke has been appointed to the position of Interim Director of the School of Interiors starting with the Fall 2020 semester.
“During this unprecedented time, I am grateful to have someone with Rebekah’s enthusiasm and progressive view of design education to serve as our Interim Director,” said Dean Mitzi Vernon. “Her cross-disciplinary engagement within the College has proved invaluable in the past and will be especially relevant as we move forward with new programs.”
Radtke has collaborated with faculty from the School of Architecture on such projects as Global Studio: Beijing, an interdisciplinary endeavor investigating urbanism, architecture, and interiority in Beijing, as well as design-build projects in Appalachia and Lexington.
She was one of 20 community leaders from cities across the United States to have been selected to participate in the 2018 Emerging City Champions fellowship program, which is funded by the Knight Foundation. She is a member of the Interior Design Educators Council and Environmental Design Research Association.
