Historic Preservation Lecturer Travis Rose conducted a design-focused workshop for Lexington-area middle and high school students over their spring break. “The theme was ‘Our Built Environment; Exploring Issues Related to Architecture, Interiors and Historic Preservation,’ and we wanted students to see significance in places that make up their communities,” said Rose.

The students researched places that mattered to them, and presented their findings to the East End community of Lexington. The workshop was a part of the 2018 Spring Break Arts Intensive at the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center.
