Kate Orff will give a brief talk about the SCAPE practice and the broad front, transformative landscape initiatives she advances through teaching, practice and advocacy.
Orff is the founder of SCAPE and a Professor at Columbia GSAPP, where she directs the Urban Design Program and co- directs the Center for Resilient Cities and Landscapes. She is the author of Toward an Urban Ecology and co-author with Richard Misrach of Petrochemical America. She was named a 2017 MacArthur Fellow. SCAPE is the lead designer for Lexington’s Town Branch Commons project.
