Debra Lehman-Smith to Name the Assembly in New Building

Debra Lehman-Smith has made a generous gift of $100,000 to name The Assembly inside the Maker’s Suite, which will be located on the main floor of the new building. Lehman-Smith, an alumna of the School of Interiors and founding partner of LSM Studio in Washington, D.C., has made this substantial donation on behalf of the Lehman Smith Design Foundation.

Lehman-Smith chose to name The Assembly – which occupies 1,115 square feet –  due to its collaborative nature, ensuring the polycultural approach to education in the new College of Design. This same collaborative spirit is one of the many drivers behind LSM Studio, which prides itself on bringing together disciplines in the promotion of design excellence.

Established in 1991, LSM Studio takes on ambitious architectural projects around the world, consistently delivers innovative design solutions using strategic thinking, analysis and investigation. LSM has earned widespread recognition for architecture and real estate strategy.
