Join us for the KY launch of Sessions 2. Designed by SCI-Arc Press, the second volume of Sessions features conversations between editor-in-chief Ramiro Diaz-Granados and SCI-Arc Design Faculty Kristy Balliet, Mira Henry, M. Casey Rehm, and Maxi Spina, who represent some of the strongest individual perspectives among the architectural discourse at SCI-Arc and within the speculative field at large. The discussion will entail an overview of the book along with an in depth conversation between Diaz-Granados and Spina. As the project of the book revolves around the concept of the “remake,” stolen from Lars Von Trier’s pseudo-documentary The Five Obstructions, they will discuss how the discipline of architecture engages with the “remake” in general and through their own work.
SCI-Arc’s newest publication is comprised of a series of speculative conversations between editor Ramiro Diaz-Granados and a selection of SCI-Arc faculty, including Kristy Balliet, Mira Henry, M. Casey Rehm, and Maxi Spina. It is also the continuation of the first volume of Sessions, published by SCI-Arc Press in 2005. The publication also includes an essay with correlated diagrams by Joe Day that ties together the first and second volume, as well as a foreword by SCI-Arc Director and CEO Hernan Diaz Alonso.
