Rory McGowan is a Structural Engineer and Director at the international, multi-disciplinary design and engineering consultancy, Arup. Known for his collaborative approach to achieving design and technical excellence in structural engineering, Rory has led the engineering design on some of the world’s most renowned architectural projects for the offices of Rem Koolhaas, Renzo Piano, Nicholas Grimshaw, and others. This semester, Rory serves as a visiting practitioner for UK’s Graduate School of Architecture, introducing graduate students to innovative structural solutions for complex, architectural projects.
