Winka Dubbeldam to Visit April 7 as Part of Lecture Series
We are pleased to welcome Winka Dubbeldam to the College of Design as part of the Spring 2017 Lecture Series. Dubbeldam is the founding partner of Archi-Tectonics and Professor and Chair of the Department of Architecture at PennDesign in Philadelphia. Archi-Tectonics is a research-based design practice that aims to work on multiple scales, spanning from the object to the building to the city. They aim to achieve design efficiencies that express themselves in optimized modulations resulting in original shapes, buildings and spaces. Recent buildings in NYC include: the 11-story GW Building, the Chelsea townhouse, the 9-story V33 Building and the mixed-use Brewster Carriage House, which includes several lofts owned by John Legend, Frederique van der Wal and Ellen Von Unwerth.
Her lecture, “Intrinsic,” will take place Friday, April 7 at 5 p.m. in Classroom Building Room 118.
