Lindsey Fay, an assistant professor in the University of Kentucky’s College of Design, is a nationally certified interior designer and a professional member of the Interior Design Educators Council. She is creating an extension of the academic learning environment for design professionals and students through advancements in the participatory design process and evaluations of extant environments. Currently, her research utilizes post-occupancy evaluation to assess the design of healthcare spaces and their impact on care delivery. It further implements this methodology as a learning tool and immersive learning experience for interior design students. Fay holds a Master of Science in architecture from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design from the University of Kentucky. She has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, and is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences.
