David Biagi was the inaugural director of the School of Architecture at the University of Kentucky College of Design, (2003-16), and is currently a faculty member. He spent several years in New York City at Eisenman Architects and Gwathmey Siegel Architects. Biagi was selected for the once every ten-year “40 under 40” list at the Cooper Hewitt Museum, NY (1996). He has received an ACSA Collaborative Practice Award (2005), a Commonwealth Collaborative Award (2010) and a NADO Innovation Award (2012). He served as member and past president of the Kentucky Board of Architects and a juror for the NCARB Grant and NCARB Award. He is currently the chair of NCARB’s, Education Committee. His firm, Biagi Architects is located in Shelbyville, KY. Biagi earned a bachelor’s in architecture (’82) from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s of architecture (’87) from The Ohio State University. In 2014, he received The Ohio State University, College of Engineering, Knowlton School of Architecture, Distinguished Alumni Award.
